Is trade show marketing worth it?

Absolutely! There is no better value for your marketing dollar. Here are some statistics to prove it from the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR):
  • Trade shows are the premiere source of buying information and 50% of the leads at a show are closed without a sales call
  • 9% of trade show leads are closed with only one sales call and another 17% with two sales calls
  • Trade show-generated leads cost 45% less to close than field sales calls
Now that is money well spent! Many trade shows are extremely busy and visually competitive.  In addition, trade shows provide a great opportunity to remain up-to-date on the latest industry trends and developments, and allow you to keep an eye on your competitors. 

There are several factors to consider when choosing the trade show that is most worth your time and money. For instance, it is important to choose the right show. Find out where your target audience and prospects will be. Ask for an attendee list and talk to previous attendees to find out what they got out of attending the show and if they would recommend it.
